His company is getting the “Highest Production Award” in Refined Rice Bran Oil continuously for the last fifteen years ever since the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India instituted this award. His other Group Company i.e. A.P. Organics Ltd. is the largest Exporter of Refined Rice Bran Oil bagging the Highest Exporter Award instituted by the Solvent Extractors Association of India. Dr. Sharma, in his capacity as the President of the Solvent Extractors Association (SEA) of India during the period of 2005 - 2007, made wholehearted efforts for promoting the production and use of Rice Bran Oil as a healthy cooking oil. In his capacity as the Chairman of SEA Rice Bran Oil Promotion Council, a number of national level seminars have been organized under his leadership to encourage the production of edible grade rice bran oil in India. He had been a motivating force for his industrial colleagues in this field. His wholehearted efforts in this direction have revolutionized the rice bran oil processing in India and today India has emerged as the largest producer of refined rice bran oil in the World. |

Arawana,as the a pioneer of scientific and technological innovation in China's grain and oil industry, and Dr. Jiang is the team leader as well as Arawana’s rice oil R& D director, she has spared no efforts to put into research and development of rice oil from 2006 together with her team. In product innovation, research and development of Arawana rice oil, the product can make the average content of plant sterols and oryzanol increased to 10000ppm,which successfully solved the hang-up, that was how to retain the natural nourishment essence and have a very good taste, color and quality during the processing of rice oil . The product has won the "international rice oil quality award in Japan third Tokyo International Conference on rice oil in 2016"
At the same time, in the industrial mode, Dr. Jiang and her team developed the “Circular Economy" model to maximize grain usage in production, which follow policy of national industry and get social, economical and ecological benefits. This technology achieves international higher level and plays an important role in the world and Chinese rice bran industrial development. Now it has played a leading and exemplary role in the transformation and upgrading of grain and oil industry in Asia and even the world.

Conducted clinical studies on the health benefits of rice bran oil in the management of cardiometabolic diseases. Dr.Sankar and his team of doctors have reported that using antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids rich blend of cold-pressed unrefined sesame oil and physically refined γ-oryzanol rich bran oil as cooking oil for 8-wk lowered high blood pressure, hyperglycemia and improved the lipids in hypetertensive and type 2 diabetes patients. The findings were published in the American Journal of Medicine & the Journal of Clinical Lipidology.
